Meet Dixie Dimples! She's a skipper on the S. S. Sunfish part time. The rest of the time she's just a 9" Persian Short-Haired Calico (also known as an Exotic Shorthair) who loves fish! 

She is a calico cat with golden orange hand painted glass eyes with the two different colored eyeliners. Even her ears are different colors. Gee nothing on her matches!  She has lovely black horse hair whiskers, an embroidered nose and mouth, wool felt ears with white tufts of hair in them.

I bet you can see all the scissor trimming, needle sculpting and appliquing that Mary did! She had a lot of fun with paint too! Oh yes, and the paws, they are needle sculpted too, and you see the toes!  The dress comes right off with three hooks and eyes in the back. Oh yeah, and you get to keep the fish too!

The hat? Yes, it's a regular felt sailor's hat with a nice cotton navy trim around it. She is 9" tall, jointed with a wobbly neck.  Her fur is the finest imported German synthetic? Also Mary brushes it out very well so that stays soft to the touch after painting!  Dixie Dimples has been sold and is happily docked with her new mommy, but contact me for a similar piece, I do take special orders.
